Executive Program doesn't come under the ambit of the Placement Committee and their placement process is different compared to the normal PGP programme. This is common across all IIMs. As regarding marketing, if you have a prior marketing or sales experience before joining EPGP, that would help you a lot in getting a placement at a senior profile after the EPGP programme.

Hi Karthik,
Both the specialisations have different scope, if you wish to go for financing, accounting, you can go for finance or if you wish to work in sales, promotion of business, you can go for marketing. So, it completely depends on your interest.

See, in average college there is mainly sales profile not marketing profile is avail. Hi Dear,
It is a difficult task to compare the two as each offers a promising career. The big debate is not which one is better; rather it should be what the aptitude of the candidate is? For Marketing- Strategic thinking, Tolerance for ambiguity, Flexi

Hi dear,
A perfect salesman always has a job in the market so the ranking is hardcore sales & marketing (sales), financial product sales, core finance (good to have 55-60% as minimum demands, HR as HR is not so 'profit making 'part of the organisation and the present market is turmoiling.
