No, SJSU does not accept every student applying for different courses. They follow a holistic approach during admission that involves various factors on which they make decisions. Some crucial factors are academic GPA and the rigor of secondary high school records. The minimum required cumulative GPA for undergraduates is 3 and 2.5 for graduates on the 4-point scale. Students with a 3.3 GPA surely get admission to UG or PG programs if they follow the other required eligibility requirements. Students must have proof of high school completion in case of UG and a bachelor’s degree for pursuing a PG at SJSU. Students with low GPAs are expected to submit a standardized test score to compensate which in general is optional.
