Sarala Birla University MBA is a two-year programme. The course duration is divided in four semesters. The curriculum follows the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and the UGC guidelines. It is designed  to develop competitive managerial skills and knowledge indispensable for future managers. The curriculum includes various core and elective subjects depending on the chosen specialisation. Students are also required to undergo a summer internship between the first and the second year of the programme.

However, students who reviewed the university on Shiksha.com, gave an average rating of 3.9/5 to the university's MBA placements. As per the SBU reviews available on Shiksha.com, the percentage of MBA students placed every year is over 60%. Companies like Tata AIG, HDFC, Mahindra Finance, Osam Dairy, Outlook etc. visited the campus in recent years to provide placement and intership opportunities. A reviewer asserted that the average salary package offered to MBA students ranges between INR 5 LPA and INR 6 LPA.

The total cost of pursuing an MBA at Sarala Birla University (SBU) is INR 5.67 lakh. The total tuition fee for the two-year programme is INR 5.19 lakh. It may seem expensive to some. However, when compared with the MBA fees of IIMs and top private MBA colleges, the MBA fee of SBU is more affordable. IIM fees for MBA range between INR 17 Lacs and 27 lakh. The private colleges offering an MBA charge an average fee of INR 15 lakh. Hence, SBU's MBA programme isn't too expensive. The university also provides scholarships and financial assistance to students under various categories.
