Yes, admission for sastra is 70% through JEE Mains + boards and rest 30% is from board merit. Moreover, for the 70% admissions, 75% are your JEE Mains marks weightage and 25% are your board marks weightage. Hence you are likely to get admissions with your better performance in Boards. Best of luck.

Hello, SASTRA University does not give admission on the basis of JEE Mains only it also consider the board percent which should be 95+ or minimum 90+ and in Mains 100+. They prepare their own merit list on the basis of 2 criteria:
First criteria have 70% of seats. Admissions are given by taking 25% weightage of JEE Mains and 75% of boards. Second criteria include admission on the basis of boards marks only. But it has only 30% of seats, so for this criteria, you should be having 95 or 95+ for securing your seat as in this criteria competition may be very tough. (Note:- merit list of both criteria is prepared differently).

As the ranks (AIR) till 2000 are only called for counselling in the first round, you will not get a counselling offer in the first round. The admission under second round counselling is purely based on the availability of seats.
You may refer the website www.sastra.edu in which they will update the seats available on June 21 and 22.

Sorry. For a student from outside Tamil Nadu to get admitted in Sastra, they require a minimum score of 120 in JEE or above 96% in +2.

Hello Nishita!
Yes, you can get admission at Sastra University as your scores are really good. I think you can also get electronics and electrical engineering as your chances are high. Apply through stream 1 and your percentile will be 50(0.25)+97(0.75)=85.25
On this basis, you will be placed on a rank.
The last date is June 10. So, probably the rank list will be released on that day.
All the best!

Hello Ravi!
Your score is not bad but your chances to get a seat at a Sastra University is a little low. Even if you get a seat you may not get the top courses like CSE, mechanical, electronics, IT, etc. If you have appeared for JEE main, then your chances for getting admission would increase.
All the best!
