Yes, you have a good score for getting admission in the SASTRA University. There are two types of streams for the admission of B.Tech programs at SASTRA University, which are:Stream 1: The admission of the 70% of seats are based on JEE Main scores and normalized +2 marks.Stream 2: The admission of the rest 30% of seats are based only on normalized +2 marks.Since you have scored 95% in your +2 boards and 80% in JEE Mains, you fall under the eligibility criteria for both the streams, but the final admission would also depend on the cut-off for the specific year, which can vary.

With 945 marks in your +2 exam, you have a good chance of securing a seat at Sastra University. Sastra University offers admission to 50% of its total seats based on JEE Main scores and normalized marks of Class 12, with equal weightage given to both aspects. The remaining 50% of seats are filled based on the merit secured in the qualifying exam. With your high score of 945 marks in your +2 exam, you are likely to be competitive for admission to Sastra University.

To get admission to B.Tech programs, it is compulsory to take JEE for most of the institutions. However, some institutions might consider +2 marks or other exams for admission. For instance, IIIT Hyderabad accepts admissions through JEE (Main) Score. No, you cannot take admission based on any other entrance exams.
