Yes, you can get admission at SASTRA University if this AIR is under stream 1. You can also get the counselling offer on June 19th or 20th.
So there are some chances for getting a good course.

I think you cannot get electronics and communication engineering at SASTRA as it is one of the highly demanded courses at SASTRA which will also be filled at the first go.
So you may try in the counselling but the chances are low.
Maybe in stream 2, you may try for it.

The first round of counselling generally means it is the opening round of counselling for the admissions where the students are called from the top merit list and they would also have huge chances of getting a seat.
There are 2 streams for admission at SASTRA University.

For stream 2, till AIR 778 are only called under the first round of counselling. So if you have chances then you may get a seat on the second day but the chances are very low.
You may check the seats available here:

I think you have missed an opportunity of getting a seat as it is not possible to attend the counselling again or even if you attend, you can avail only the seats available at that time.
So you may contact the admin for more details. Right now, there are no seats left, I think so.

You cannot get a seat at SASTRA for any course with just an AIR of 3456. Only ranks till 2000 and 2500 are being called for 1st and 2 and round of counselling, your chances are nil.

Yes, it is the same for all as you are applying for B.Tech/ 5-year integrated M.Tech, you can choose any of these courses at the time of counselling which is based on your rank only.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a good branch at SASTRA where there will be a demand for it like mechanical, IT, etc. It deals mainly with software related studies so that you can be easily placed in top companies like Microsoft, TCS, etc., provided you have great skills.
The course is good so you may opt for it.

There are no category based admissions and also no management quota. The admission is purely based on merit and as you haven't applied for the admissions on the specified dates, you are not eligible to get admission.
The website is www.sastra.edu.
