Yes, SASTRA University is also a good university for engineering (ECE and CSE). but I'm not sure about the Kumbakonam campus as it is new. The education will be better for sure and the placements are also good, if you get the Thanjavur campus then it is better, but Kumbakonam campus is also good if you don't get any other good college.

Actually, there are very low chances or no chances to get a seat as you have to go in the second round counselling. The seats availability after the first round counselling will be updated in www.sastra.edu and then decide. Check the website on June 21 and 22.

You have good scores but this year at SASTRA University, the applications are really good. It is difficult for even the first round of counselling, students to get a good course. May be the second round counselling starts from 23rd of June.
You are advised to check the seats availability from www.sastra.edu at the end of each day and then decide.
I think you may not get a seat in a good course.
