SBI Clerk

SBI Clerk selection process comprises three stages, Preliminary exam, Mains exam and Test of the specified opted local language. The preliminary exam of SBI Clerk comprises three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The test paper carries a total of 100 questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The duration of the exam is one hour. The exam pattern of SBI Clerk Mains exam consists of four sections: General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The test paper will have a total of 190 questions. The total marks for the test are 200. Candidates will be given 2 hours 40 minutes to solve the question paper. There are sectional timings for each section. All candidates who get provisionally selected after clearing Preliminary and Main exams need to appear for a test of specified opted local language. 

Exam patterns for SBI Clerk and IBPS Clerk are essentially the same. Both tests have a preliminary exam format that includes Reasoning, English, and Quantitative Aptitude. Both exams' Mains exam formats include Reasoning and English Quantitative Aptitude. Both general knowledge and computer proficiency. The preliminary exam has a total of 100 marks, while the main exam has 200 marks. The preliminary exam lasts for sixty minutes, while the main exam lasts for two hours and forty minutes. Compared to the IBPS Clerk exam, the SBI Clerk exam is a little harder. The SBI Clerk test is used to hire Junior Associates in Sales and Customer Support. The IBPS Clerk exam is used to fill clerk positions in public sector banks.

Along with the results, the SBI Clerk test scorecard is made public. The necessary credentials must be entered by candidates in order to download the scorecard. Candidates do not receive hard copies of the scorecard in the mail. The scorecard includes the cutoff marks, total marks, and section-wise marks, among other things. Candidates' scores are determined after deducting points for incorrect responses. The penalty for providing an incorrect answer is one-fourth of the mark deducted for that question. Those who answer correctly receive one mark. There are 100 total marks available for the preliminary exam. There are 200 possible points in the main exam. When choosing the final applicants, the marks from the main exam are taken into account.

Compared to other banks, SBI Clerks have greater opportunities to become Probationary Officers. The primary cause is SBI's expedited promotion procedure. Those chosen for the SBI Clerk post will serve a minimum of six months on probation. It might, however, be extended in light of a candidate's performance. Every two years, SBI holds an internal exam for individuals hoping to advance in their careers. Only after working for the bank for three years is a clerk eligible to take the internal exam. Those who pass the internal exam are appointed as Trainee Officers (TOs) for a two-year term. Following the two-year probationary period, they are hired as Cadres for the Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II).

The choice between SBI Clerk and IBPS Clerk depends on individual preferences and career goals. SBI Clerk positions are generally considered more prestigious due to the State Bank of India's prominent reputation and higher salary packages, which include additional perks and allowances.
