The State Bank of India (SBI) declared 1673 openings for the PO test in 2022. A total of 2,056 positions were posted for 2021. A total of 2000 were declared for 2020. Candidates are appointed for SBI PO recruitment based on their performance in the main exam, interview, and group exercises in addition to the number of SBI PO vacancies. Candidates must, however, meet the requirements to take the psychometric test and preliminary exam. Accompanying the news was a release from the State Bank of India (SBI) announcing SBI PO vacancies for 2023. The exam has 2000 openings in all, according to the announcement.

For both the interview and group exercises, there is a 50 mark limit. Candidates are assessed based on their intelligence and personality during the group exercises and interview. The SBI PO test does not have sectional cutoff marks. Applicants must achieve the overall cutoff scores set by the testing authority for each exam stage. In the SBI PO exam, incorrect answers are subject to negative marking. A penalty of one-fourth of a mark will be taken away for incorrect answers in the SBI PO exam. Those who answer correctly receive one mark.

The SBI PO cut off marks for each category are determined by the examination body in order to choose candidates for the next phases of the selection process. Sectional cutoff marks are absent. Candidates must, however, receive the overall cutoff scores according to their categories. The SBI PO test does not have qualifying marks. It is anticipated that in September 2024, the SBI PO recruitment 2024 notification would be made public. November 2024 is when the SBI PO preliminary test is scheduled to take place. The SBI PO main exam is scheduled for December 2024. January or February 2025 will see the administration of the psychometric test. Potential applicants may complete the SBI PO application online. The application fee is INR 750 for general, EWS, and OBC applicants, and it may be paid online or offline. Candidates who are PWD, SC, or ST are not required to pay a fee. However the application form is not yet released.

To be eligible for SBI PO exam, candidates must be a graduate. The marks of Class 12 are not taken into consideration. The educational qualification prescribed for the exam is graduation. The selection process of SBI PO comprises prelims exam, Mains exam and group exercises and interview. The final selection of candidates is done based on the Mains exam and group exercises and interview.

It is not necessary to secure 60 per cent in graduation inorder to be eligible for SBI PO exam. For the SBI PO eligibility percentage, candidates with less than 60% in their graduation are also eligible to take the SBI PO exam. The State Bank of India prescribes no minimum percentage in Graduation for the SBI Probationary Officer (PO) exam. Candidates must be graduates of any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
