The overall difficulty level of SBI PO prelims exam was moderate to difficult. An attempt of 66-72 questions are considered as good.The Maths section was moderate whereas the Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness and English Language sections were moderate. The State Bank of India (SBI) declared 1673 openings for the PO test in 2022. A total of 2,056 positions were posted for 2021. A total of 2000 were declared for 2020. Candidates are appointed for SBI PO recruitment based on their performance in the main exam, interview, and group exercises in addition to the number of SBI PO vacancies. Candidates must, however, meet the requirements to take the psychometric test and preliminary exam. Accompanying the news was a release from the State Bank of India (SBI) announcing SBI PO vacancies for 2023. The exam has 2000 openings in all, according to the announcement.

For both the interview and group exercises, there is a 50 mark limit. Candidates are assessed based on their intelligence and personality during the group exercises and interview. The SBI PO test does not have sectional cutoff marks. Applicants must achieve the overall cutoff scores set by the testing authority for each exam stage. In the SBI PO exam, incorrect answers are subject to negative marking. A penalty of one-fourth of a mark will be taken away for incorrect answers in the SBI PO exam.
