A total of 2056 positions went unannounced in 2021. There were 2000 regular openings. There were 56 backlog positions in total. There were 810 unannounced positions in the general category, comprising 200 for EWS, 540 for OBC, 150 for ST, and 300 for SC. About 10–12 Lacs people have applied to take the exam. The number of openings also stayed close to 2000, with the exception of 2022, when it slightly decreased. The main exam and interview selection ratio is based on the total number of openings.
