Candidates are required to check the format of the photograph and signature before uploading it while filling SBI PO application form. The dimension of the photograph should be between 200x230 pixels. The size of the should be between 20kb-50kb. Candidates must ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. The dimension of the signature should be between 140 x 60 pixels. The size of the file should be between 10 kb to 20 kb. Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20kb. SBI does not provide separate window to edit SBI PO application form. Candidates can edit the details entered in the application form within the prescribed application deadline. Request for change/correction in the data entered in the SBI PO application form is not entertained after it is finally submitted. Candidates are advised to fill up the online application carefully and enter the correct information in the application. Candidates can make changes to the application form before its final submission. Editing of SBI PO application form is allowed only thrice. Candidates need to fill SBI PO application form online. They are not required to submit the hard copy of the application form.

SBI PO application form is released online. Any graduate candidate can apply for the exam. SBI PO application process comprises several steps such as registration, uploading of scanned photograph and signature, filling the form, previewing the application, uploading left thumb impression and handwritten declaration. The application fee was INR 750 for General/EWS/OBC candidates, while SC/ST/PWD categories were exempted from fee payment. The interview (or Group Exercises & Interview) carries a total of 50 marks. Before candidates appear for the interview & Group D Exercises, candidates need to appear for the psychometric test. The performance in the psychometric test will be shared with the interview panel. The psychometric test is qualifying in nature and there is no weightage. The selection process of SBI PO comprises prelims exam, Mains exam, psychometric test, group exercises & interview. Final selection is done based on the Mains exam and group exercises and interview. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit. The prelims exam is only to screen candidates for the Mains exam. SBI PO prelims exam is conducted for 100 marks. The test paper carries questions from English Language, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. The mains exam carries both subjective and objective type questions. Total marks allotted to the mains exam are 250. The Group Exercises and Interview carries 50 marks.

The prelims exam of SBI PO is conducted at around 200 cities while the Mains exam is conducted at around 70 cities. Candidates are required to enter their preferences for exam centres while filling the application form. The details related to the exam centres are mentioned on the admit card. The examination authority reserves the right to allot exam centres to candidates. Usually, candidates are allotted exam centres in the cities chosen by them. However, in case of unavailability of exam centres, the examination authority allots candidates in the next available centre. The prelims exam of SBI PO is conducted in four shifts while the Mains exam is conducted in two shifts. SBI PO prelims shift timings are 9 AM to 10 AM, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, 2 pm to 3 pm and 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm. SBI PO Mains exam timings are 2 pm to 3 pm and 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. To prepare the GK section of SBI PO candidates should read newspapers to keep themselves updated with the Current Affairs topics of last one year or six months. Candidates should also be familiar with the banking terminologies, government schemes related to finance, etc. The General Awareness section comprises Current Affairs and Static GK. General/Economy/Banking Awareness carries the maximum marks (60 marks). If candidates mark a wrong answer, 1/4th or 0.25 marks of the total marks assigned to a particular question are deducted to arrive at a corrected score. If candidates leave a question blank, no penalty is marked. Candidates can refer to the books such as Pratiyogita Darpan, Manorama Yearbook, etc.

In the Reasoning section of SBI PO candidates can cover Seating Arrangements, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, etc. To score good marks in this section, candidates should practice previous years' question papers and mock tests. Candidates can also practice sudoku and different types of puzzles. This will help me to solve the questions in Reasoning easily.
