Programs of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham are approved by AICTE for GATE scholarships.Scholarships to Non-GATE students offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham: Students who have not written GATE exam are eligible to apply for Merit or Endowment scholarships available different programs as listed below. Determining the "best" course among those offered by Amrita School of Arts and Sciences (ASAS) at Amrita University in Kochi depends on various factors, including your interests, career goals, and personal preferences. Each course has its own merits and may be best suited to different individuals based on their aspirations and skills. However, I can provide information on some popular and well-regarded courses offered by ASAS Kochi:Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA): The BBA programme is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in business principles and management practices. It covers various areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and entrepreneurship, preparing students for careers in business and related fields.Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA): The BCA programme focuses on computer Science and applications, equipping students with skills in programming, software development, database management, and computer networks. It prepares graduates for roles in software development, IT consulting, and other technology-related fields.Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com): The B.Com programme offers a comprehensive understanding of concepts in commerce, accounting, economics, and finance. It prepares students for careers in accounting, banking, finance, taxation, and other related fields, as well as for pursuing higher education in commerce and business.Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) programs: ASAS Kochi offers various B.Sc programs in fields such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Visual Media Studies. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester. We have a CIR (Co-operate and Industries Relation) department that takes care of the placements. A lot of prominent companies are offering placements here and average packages can go upto 10lakhs per annum.Students are eligible to take part in campus placements from the 5th semester. The college has an industrial relations department that prepares students for placement exams, GD and PIs. The companies that usually visit campus include, Deloitte, Wipro, Federal Bank, D E Shaw, Infosys, and many others. The positions are mainly that of junior associate or analyst in finance. The salary packages vary from 2.5 L to 6 L based on the company and the position offered. There aren't many placement opportunities for BBA students that are looking for a job related to their specialisation (logistics). The percentage of students that get placed is small. I plan to attend campus placements that are open to me during the course.
