As per the last year trends, School of Open Learning University of Delhi had released till the second merit list for PG courses MA and MCom in Dec 2022. DU SOL PG merit lists are released based on merit as well as entrance exams. After the release of DU SOL PG merit list 2023, selected candidates are required to accept seat in a given time period. If the confirmation of admission is not done before the final date, then the allotment is cancelled. Hence, there are chances that DU SOL will be releasing upto two merit lists for the PG courses.

DU SOL admission 2023 to various UG and PG courses is based on merit in Class 12. Candidates who are seeking admission to DU SOL must have an aggregate of 45 per cent in Class 12 in case student is from General category. Whereas for  OBC category candidates must have passed Class 12 with 40 per cent aggregate and for SC/ ST/ PwBD students, they must have passed Class 12. As such there is no DU SOL cutoff for any course, all admissions are based on merit. For more details regarding DU SOL cutoff 2024, click here.

Although, DU SOL is 23 years older than IGNOU, yet the latter has an edge over the former in the following ways:DU SOL has limited courses to offer as compared to IGNOU provides a wide range of courses which are more than 200 in numberIn DU SOL, the students are required to go to classes and exam centres assigned strictly by the university. Yes, the School of Open Learning, DU has a placement cell.  As per the official website, the DU SOL placement cell organised a drive for Business Development Executive (Axis Bank) jointly with NIIT Ltd. Around 800 students registered for the profile and 48 students appeared for the interview. As per the official report, 21 students from the School of Open Learning appeared for the first round of interviews, out of which 15 students were selected. Further, seven students went to the branch for the final interview and finally, four students were selected for the post.
