India is actively moving forward in this field and keeping up with the technological changes across the world. A major chunk of trained forensic scientists are hired by the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), etc. Another interesting career, rather the most attractive option for forensic scientists is teaching in institutes which impart education in forensic science. A forensic scientist is expected to work overtime, spend lots of time in the investigation, be prepared for scrutinising the evidence found at the crime spot and do many other duties.

Well, all the fields have their own scope and space of work and opportunities. Choose the area of specialisation you are interested in and good at. In my personal experience, I have seen how engineering is one of the really good and prosperous courses to pursue with good job offers and diverse career path. Alternately, you may consider Bachelors in science with subjects like chemistry, biology, mathematics, food technology, agriculture and biotechnology. Corporate and educational sectors; private and public sectors all of them open arms with job offers.

If you are general or OBC, then don't expect B.Sc. . Physics from DU in 83%. I got 93.6% in PCM & I got listed in the 5th cut-off. If you have at least 90%, then you can hope for it. But, you can do B.Sc. . Phy from other universities like IP, etc.
