Yes, you can pursue MSW degree after graduating with Life Sciences or with a BSc degree in general. However, you can also look into the prerequisites defined by the university you want to get admission into. Entrance criteria for MSW courses also vary from college to college. Most of the universities accept MSW admission against any UG degree. For instance, one university may only require a basic UG degree to pursue the MSW course; whereas, some other university may require the candidates to clear entrance exams and appear for interviews along with a basic UG degree to get admission into an MSW course.

No, it is not always mandatory to do B.Lib.Sc course before a M.Lib.Sc. Many universities accept candidates from any bachelor’s degree discipline, but some prioritize those students who have a B.Lib.Sc or equivalent background. Not having a B.Lib.Sc does not impact the master’s study since many programs include introductory courses in M.Lib.Sc to help students who do have library Science background to speed up the progress.

Pharmacognosy is closely related to Botany as it involves the study of natural products obtained from plants, microbes, and other natural sources for their medicinal and biological properties. Pharmacognosy relies heavily on botanical knowledge to identify, collect, characterize, and study plants and their constituents that possess therapeutic potential.Botanical understanding helps pharmacognosists identify which plants to study for potential medicinal compounds, where they grow, how to cultivate them, and how to extract and analyze their bioactive compounds.
