It is not compulsory to stay in hostel, however, it is better to stay in hostel since, MBA is a very short and highly learning oriented program. The amount of effort that a student is expected to put is significant. MBA has been made residential to enable students stand up to the expectations of industry so that their placement opportunities are realized. Each student is provided with a single room accommodation with Wi-Fi connectivity to connect them to the stream of learning processes.

I would say MBA from CUSAT would be of more value even in future, the institute being run by the Government of Kerala. Moreover, CUSAT has been able to secure 100% placement in the recent years and the perception among recruiters is improving every year.
