No, the syllabus for the IBPS Clerk and PO exams are not the same. The syllabus for the IBPS Clerk exam includes topics such as Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness, while the syllabus for the IBPS PO exam includes additional topics such as Computer Knowledge and Marketing Aptitude. It is important to note that the level of difficulty of the exam is also different for the two posts. It is a good startegy to prepare for one type of government exam. Banking & insurance exam are 1 type of exam with same pattern & require same kind of preparation. As focusing on various type of exam may not be that much successfully. But we can always prepare for CGL along with the bank exams. To syllabus of both exam & identify common topic like English, reasoning some topics of quantitative. I suggest to target Bank & insurance exam IBPS SBI LIC AO, RBI RRB, etc. ).
