SEED Syllabus

The SEED 2024 syllabus will be released by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). It is very possible that the candidate finds some topics difficult. When the candidate encounters difficult topics, the first urge should be to try a little harder to tackle the topic. But if you are not able to get it done with that extra effort, it is better to take the help of a teacher, peer, or a guide. Or else you will end up spending prodigious time. So, if you are not able to get any help at the moment, you may consider leaving out that topic for the moment. And once you are done with the rest of the topics, you can come back and try out the difficult topic anew.

SID, the conducting body of SEED has clearly stated that it does not promote or is associated with any coaching centres. So, if the candidate undertakes any coaching to prepare for the SEED 2025, it is entirely the discretion of the candidate. SID only outlines the syllabus and exam pattern for the entrance exam, and makes available sample papers that candidates can use to prepare for the exam.Speaking of coaching institutes to prepare for the SEED 2025 exam, some of the popular names include Bhanwar Rathore Design Studio, Academy of Fashion and Art, and Pahal Design. The candidate is urged to visit of the coaching institute to learn more about the coaching services and materials they provide.

Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has its own specific syllabus that is followed for conducting the SEED entrance exam. The SEED syllabus covers topics like Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment. There are some topics that overlaps with some of the top design entrance exams like NIFT, NID DAT, etc. However, there are also a number of features that are unique to the SEED 2024 exam.So, candidates planning to appear in the SEED 2024 entrance exam are recommended to follow the official syllabus to prepare for the exam.

The SEED 2024 exam will be conducted on January 14, 2024. As per the official SEED syllabus, the question paper will include questions from the following topics - Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment. The candidate may solve previous years’ question papers to get an idead regarding the types of questions asked and difficulty level. The follwing types of questions will be asked in SEED 2024 - MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image-based and comprehension based. The duration of the SEED exam will be 60 minutes, while there will be 60 questions.
