SID doesn't offer any short term / distance courses. The institute presently offers only full time Under- Graduate degree courses. At the UG level, the institute offers a regular B.Des program, while a hybrid M.Des program is offered at the PG level.Admission to both courses will be through the SEED 2025 entrance exam.

Candidates who are allotted seats will have to pay the seat-acceptance fee within the given deadline. If the payment is not made, the allotment will be cancelled. Further, the vacant seat will be offered to the candidate next in the order of merit. Also, typically, there is no option to make partial payment.

The SID admission portal mentions nothing about the validity of the SEED 2025 scorecard.Nonetheless, it can be presumed that the SEED scorecard will be valid for the current admission session only. So, if you qualify in SEED 2025, you need to apply for admission in the current academic session only.

The official mock tests may generally have fewer questions than are actually asked in the entrance exam. The purpose of the mock questions is simply to give you an idea about the question type. You will also learn navigation by taking the mock tests.Meanwhile, there is no fixed number of questions the unofficial mocks may have as it is simpy the discretion of the organizer.

There is no harm in taking mocks hosted by coaching institutes. However, note that mocks tests by third parties are typically not free and you have to pay a specific fee.So, make it a point to take the official mocks first, as they are free and also coveres the exam syllabus. The mocks will be hosted on the SID admission portal.

NIFT is attempted by some 50,000 candidates every year and is considered the toughest entrance exams in the country, along with NID and UCEED.In comparision, SEED is less competitive. So, you have better chance of admission through SEED.
