Yes, the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has caste-based reservation of seats for admission to the B.Des program. SID has a combined intake of 180 seats for Indian students. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Des programme at SID need to first appear in the SEED 2025 written exam. Shortlisted candidates have to appear in a Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) round. To appear in the personal interaction, the candidate will have to book their slots. The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has a combined intake of 207 seats for its B.Des program. This includes 180 seats for Indian, and 27 seats for international students. The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) offers specializations in four disciplines -  Communication Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, and Fashion Communication. The candidate can select their choice of specialisation when filling the application form. Note that the allotment of specialisation would be done as per the merit rank of the candidate in the SEED 2025 exam. Currently, the seat intake for the Communication Design for Indian students stands at 26 seats. In addition, there are 4 seats for international students. So, the comibned intake for Indian and international students come to 30 seats.

Typically it will take a little more than 6 months to complete the SEED 2024 exam syllabus. However, if your fundamentals are strong, you can complete the syllabus in less time. The SEED 2024 syllabus will include topics like - Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment.It is recommended that the candidate don’t wait for the last few months to prepared for the SEED 2024 exam. The SEED 2024 syllabus will be released by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). It is very possible that the candidate finds some topics difficult. When the candidate encounters difficult topics, the first urge should be to try a little harder to tackle the topic. But if you are not able to get it done with that extra effort, it is better to take the help of a teacher, peer, or a guide. Or else you will end up spending prodigious time. SID, the conducting body of SEED has clearly stated that it does not promote or is associated with any coaching centres. So, if the candidate undertakes any coaching to prepare for the SEED 2025, it is entirely the discretion of the candidate.
