The syllabus for the design aptitude test is prescribed by the exam conducting authority, the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). With this, the exam pattern is also decided by it. The candidate must note that SID reserves the right to make any changes it deems necessary to the exam syllabus. So, the candidate must consult the updated exam pattern when strating their exam preparation. Note that typically wholesale changes to the exam syllabus is not done.For instance, the exam syllabus for UCEED 2024 has been changed, but some parts are kept as it is.

Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has its own specific syllabus that is followed for conducting the SEED entrance exam. The SEED syllabus covers topics like Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment. The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) doesn’t frequently change the syllabus for the SEED exam. That being said SID reserves the right to make any changes to the syllabus keeping in the mind the changing dynamics of design as an academic discipline. So, it is recommended that candidates keep visitng our page for any the latest update on the SEED 2024 exam syllabus.The syllabus for the SEED exam 2024 will be released online at sid.edu.in. It will contain the section-wise topics that candidates need to practice for the design entrance exam.

The SEED 2024 exam will be conducted on January 14, 2024. As per the official SEED syllabus, the question paper will include questions from the following topics - Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment. The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has released the updated syllabus for the SEED 2025 exam. The candidate can downoad the syllabus online at - sid.edu.in. The SEED 2024 syllabus contains the topics that the candidate needs to prepare for the SEED 2025 entrance exam. It is recommended that the candidate only follows the official syllabus and not those released by unofficial sources. It is because questions will be asked from the official syllabus only. Also, unofficial sites may contain error-prone and misleading information.

The candidate can download the official syllabus of SEED 2024 from the official website of the Symbiosis Institute of Design - sid.edu.in. In the homepage of SID, click on “Admission Process” under “Programmes.” The window that opens will contain information on the SEED 2024 syllabus. The candidate can note down the syllabus. The other option is to visit our page and download the updated syllabus for the SEED 2024 exam. The SEED 2024 syllabus will contain the topics from which questions will be asked in the exam.

Candidates who have prepared a handmade portfolio will have to click pictures of best work, compile it in and upload the PDF format on the given link (available shortly). Showcasing the handmade portfolio during PI round is not allowed. It is compulsory to upload the work before the allocated slot for interaction. Also, the size of the digital portfolio must not be more that 5 MB. Also, the portfolio must be in the form of a Power Point Presentation of maximum 15 slides.

The portfolio upload link will be made available on the official website after the Personal Interaction slot is booked by the candidate. The specific dates will be notified by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). In the last edition of the SEED entrance exam, the portfolio submission window was open from April 11-19, 2023. Note that along with the portfolio, the candidate will also be required to upload the portfolio task assigned to them. Yes, there is a possibility that one can be asked to. The candidate must have basic stationery including pen, paper, and pencils available during their PI session. The personal interaction round of SEED 2025 will be conducted online. Candidates who are shortlisted for personal interaction will have to book their slots within the given window. Note that slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The final merit list of SID will be prepared based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), Portfolio Review, PRPI Task and Personal Interaction.

Candidates who get shortlisted for the PRPI round has to upload a digital portfolio. The portfolio may include the following items:Sketches, mixed media illustrations and digital work Collaging of images, 2D and 3D articles Photography 3D objects like sculpture, fabric products, gadgets, art inspired products etc. In addition to the items listed above, the candidate may also include any other item that represents the candidate’s passion and abilities.
