The candidate has to upload a digital portfolio as part of the admission process at SID. The digital portfolio must be a compilation of the candidate’s best works and showcase their skills, passion, and interest in a variety of areas and techniques. The candidate must ensure that the portfolio includes items that he or she is proud of. Try to be different and include unique and interesting things.When uploading the portfolio, the candidate must follow the specifications and guidelines issued by the admission official.

Portfolio submission is the 2nd stage of the SEED 2025 admission process. Candidates who are shortlisted for the PRPI need to upload portfolio and PRPI task starting March 27, 2024.The portfolio and PRPI upload link will be available on the SID website after the candidate has booked the Personal Interaction slots.The slot booking process will be open from January 21 - 29, 2024.Note that apart from uploading the PRPI Task and Portfolio, the candidate will also have to appear in a Personal Interaction round. The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) does not have any provisions for direct admission to second year. So, candidates have to compulsory take admission in the first year of the B.Des program. Note that admission to the B.Des is only through the SEED 2025 exam.Scores of the qualifying exam will not be considered for admission to the B.Des program. Neither does SID accept scores of other popular entrance exams like NIFT, NID DAT, etc.

As per the information given on SID website, the institute does not promote or is aware of any coaching classes/preparatory classes. So, the candidate has the discretion to decide whether the want to join any coaching institute of not. Note that there are many coaching institutes that offer preparatory classes for exams like NIFT, NID DAT, etc.The candidate also has the option of downloading preparation materials online. But note that most practice materials are chargeable.

Candidates are not required to submit an elementary drawing exam certificate for the Admission Procedure at SID. The candidate merely needs to meet the academic, qualifting exam, and age criteria. Eligible candidate next needs to appear in the SEED 2025. Those qualifying in the exam will have to next appear in a PRPI round. The final results would be prepared by giving weightage to the SEED 2025 exam and the PRPI.

Yes, Candidates seeking admission to the B.Desprogrammeneed to compulsory appear in the SEED 2025 exam. The scores of the SEED 2025 exam will be next shortlisted for a Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction round. Note that the final merit list will be prepared by considering the cumulative performance of the candidate in the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), Portfolio Review, PRPI Task, and Personal Interaction (PRPI).So, any candidate who appears in the SEED but doesn’t appear in the PRPI will not be considered for admission. The B.Des is a 4-year course carrying 160 credits.

The admission notification for the SEED 2025 exam is now out. The application form for SEED 2025 opened on August 16, 2024. The last date to apply for SEED 2025 is December 25, 2024.The admission notification will include details pertaining to the admission schedule, seat intake, eligibility criteria, etc. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria may apply for the exam.The SEED 2025 exam will be conducted on January 12, 2025. Scores of the exam will be considered for admission to the 4-year B.Des programme offered by participating colleges.
