The SEED 2025 application form is now closed.The application opened on August 16, 2024. The last date to apply for the exam was January 1, 2025.Applications had to be filled out open online at SID official website - sid.edu.in.  The detailed application schedule was released by the institute on its admission portal.Candidates who met the prescribed criteria may apply before the last date (January 1).The SEED 2025 application form is for admission to the B.Desprogramme offered by participating colleges.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) released the first merit list on April 21, 2025. Candidates can check the same by visiting the official website; i.e. sid.edu.in.To download the merit list, the candidate will have to log in to the result portal using their B.Des ID and password.The merit list will include the merit rank of the candidate and the seat allotment status. Candidates who are included in the merit list will have to get registered for the programme and pay the fee on or before May 2, 2025. 

The application form of SEED 2025 is now OPEN for the M.Des program.Candidates who met the prescribed eligibility criteria can apply from August 14 to April 15, 2025.The application form has to be submitted online at sid.edu.in (application link also given on this page).As part of the application filling process, the candidate has to get registered, fill in the form, upload documents, and pay the application fee.The SID admission registration fee is Rs. 3250/- (Rs. 2250 for SEED & Rs. 1000 for SID)

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has launched a Master of Design (M. Des) in the field of User Experience Design. Candidate seeking admission to the M.Des programme need to meet the following criteria:Qualifying exam: Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 4-year duration in any specialization, after 10+2 or equivalent a recognised institute.ORFull-time Diploma of minimum 4-year duration in Design, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, or Architecture, after 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised institute.Minimum marks:The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for SC and ST categories).

Candidates who are included in the waiting list will be considered for admission only if there are any vacancies. The Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) will be conducted in two phases. Phase I will conducted from March 28-30, 2025. Meanwhile, Phase 2 will be conducted from April 11-13, 2025.The candidate was notified about the phase they needed to appear in through the PRPI admit card. Note that the personal interaction was conducted in an online mode.

The digital portfolio should be a compilation of the best work of the candidate that showcases teh candidate’s skills, passion and interest in a variety of areas and techniques. It is recommended to take good quality pictures of this work and compile them in a Power Point Presentation. Note that a maximum 15 slides are allowed. You need to then convert this into PDF (max size 5 MB). Try to be different and include unique and interesting things. 

The start date for uploading portfolios is March 27, 2025. The portfolio upload link was given on the SID admission portal. The candidate needed to follow the specified guidelines when uploading the portfolio. The portfolio contained the following elements:Sketches, mixed media illustrations and digital work  Collaging of images, 2D and 3D articles  Photography  3D objects like sculpture, fabric products, gadgets, art inspired products etc.
