It's great to fulfill wishes of your mom but a word of caution, placements in aeronautical engineering branch are very poor. Majority of students end up seeking admission for MBA or ME. Knowing your middle class background, I would strongly recommend that you go for aircraft maintenance engineering or AME. It's a three year course and good opportunities for placements.

Placement opportunities will be provided by the college. However, request you to contact the college officials to know the details as they college does not disclose its placement details.
