SJMSOM, IIT Bombay shortlists candidates for MBA programme based on CAT score followed by a personal interview round. However, there are other parameters also considered by the institute while providing final admission. For admission to SJMSOM for the flagship MBA course, the result of CAT 2023 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 (If the CAT conducting body follows the trend as in 2022). However, if the trend is not followed, the same will most probably be out by the first week of January 2024. After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for SJMSOM admission.

For admission to MBA 2024 batch at SJMSOM, the CAT test will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of SJMSOM are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AMAfternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PMEvening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PMEarlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.
