SJMSOM conducts Personal interviews or Counselling for allocation of seats after the CAT results have been released. SJMSOM releases two lists the first one is the shortlist for the eligible candidates who have been selected for interview. Further, the institute releases the final list of candidates who have been finally selected and allocated the seat in the institute. Shailesh J Mehta School of Management seat allotment results are released online on the official admission website. As such there are no multiple SJMSOM Counselling rounds for MBA cutoff . Candidates who appear in the CAT 2023 are eligible for counselling only if they get the required minimum marks as per the eligibility criteria SJMSOM. Also, all candidates who appeared in the written exam and are interested in admission must submit appear for the personal interviews. Going as per the past year trends, SJMSOM Counselling 2024 is to be conducted in three steps. First step is appaer for CAT, second step is to qualigy for the round and finally appear for the interview.

SJMSOM MBA admission 2024 is based on CAT 2023 scores. Only candidates who have appeared for CAT are eligible for MBA admissions at SJMSOM. CAT exam has three sections namely, VARC, DILR and Quantitative Aptitude, candidates seeking SJMSOM MBA admissions must meet both the sectional as well as total CAT cutoff. The expected CAT cutoff for VARC is 75, DILR is 75, Quantitative Aptitude is 75 and the overall is 90. It is only after meeting the expected cutoff, candidates are called for further rounds of admission.

SJMSOM, IIT Bombay has branches of two national banks in their campus and one of the bank is State Bank of India (SBI) which has one Education Loan Scheme exclusively for reputed institutes like SJMSOM & IIT Bombay, named “SBI Scholar Loan”. It’s a pre-approved loan scheme subject to submission of required documents by students. The loan is sanctioned by the campus branch itself. It is a collateral free loan has lower interest rate, interest subsidy during moratorium period whose family income is below INR 4.50 Lacs & no processing fees. The first semester fees paid to the institute is also reimbursable.

Yes, SJMSOM offers a BTech and MBA integrated courses named as Inter-Disciplinary Dual Degree Program (IDDDP) in Management is an MBA with specialisation offered to fourth year BTech/ BS/ Dual Degree to students of IIT Bombay. Candidates who are at the end of their sixth semester with the approval of DUGC can apply for the IDDDP programme at SJMSOM. They need to secure 7.0 CGPA in the sixth semester to get admission.

There is no such management quota for admission to any of the programmes offered at SJMSOM, IIT Bombay. SJMSOM, IIT Bombay courses admission are completely entrance exam based. Candidates seeking admission to any of the course at SJMSOM must have valid score in the required entrance exam as mentioned in the eligibility and selection criteria for that particular programme.

There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the programmes offered at SJMSOM, IIT Bombay. Candidates seeking admission to any particular programme will have to fulfil the eligibility and selection criteria of that course.For admission to its flagship MBA programme, candidates must apply for the CAT exam and should aim to score well in it. Candidates based on their CAT scores will be selected for the personal interview round. Candidates should have valid score in any of the entrance exams such as UGC-JRF/ UGC-NET/ CSIR-JRF/ GATE/ CAT/ GMAT/ GRE and candidates should write a research proposal (1500 words) on a topic of their interest in place of Statement of Purpose. It should contain problem identification, brief review of literature, anf methodology. Besides, aspirants must also fulfil the eligibility criteria to get admission in the PhD programme.
