SKUAST Jammu has a total intake of 176. Candidates are offered seat in BSc (Hons) based on SKUSAT-J CET score. Selected aspirants need to participate in SKUAST Counselling round. Candidates need to bring the specified documents for verification. Once the seat is allotted, aspirants have to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu usually releases the application form in May. The application closes by June. SKUAST also opens the correct window for submitted application form in the first week of June. Aspirants can apply online once the portal opens for the preferred course.

Yes, SKUAST Jammu conducts SKUAST-J Common Entrance Test for admission to UG, PG and PhD courses. It is a three-year exam for UG and two and a half year exam for PG courses. The paper for UG courses contains 180 multiple choice questions with each carrying on mark. In PG, the exam paper have 150 questions each with four options.

SKUAST Jammu does not offer direct admission. Aspirants first need to fill out the application form for the preferred course and then appear for SKUAST-J CET conducted by the university. SKUAST-J CET for UG courses is offered for a duration of three-years. For PG courses, the duration is two and a half year. Once the selection round is completed, the university releases a category-wise merit list. Shortlisted aspirants have to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.
