Both NIT-Trichy and NIT-Warangal are among the top three NITs are among the best institutes in India. But NIT Trichy has been consistently ranking better than NIT Warangal for some years now. According to the MHRD rankings of engineering colleges, NIT-Trichy stands at 11th position while NIT-Warangal stands much below at 34th rank. Among the NITs NIT Trichy stands first. However, this system has just started and will take some time to get better. NIT-Trichy has many clubs like PSI Racing, Designers consortium and 3D aero modeling in which students can gain a lot of practical knowledge by working on real projects. I would suggest joining NIT-Trichy as the institution strives hard to improve quality of students and make them ready for the industry.

Heritage Institute of Technology comes under top colleges in West Bengal. CSE is one of the best branch of HIT, Kolkata. The placement scenario here is quite good. Heritage has an upper hand in terms of placement. The placements were pretty fine in last two years. Companies like TCS, mass recruits with an avg package of 3.75 - 4.00 LPA. Some students have also got a package of 6-7 LPA. Apart from on-campus recruits, students have also got a package of 20-22 LPA, off-campus. Some companies like Infosys, Wipro Tech, Xplorsoft also visits the campus. This year Hp is going to visit. Although companies like Hp, do not recruit many students but this gives students an opportunity to excel. The placement percentage is around 80-85% in HITK. There are also few core branch companies like Borch, Godrej, Philips, etc that visits the campus. But they do not recruit many students. A good amount of students go for higher studies.
I would say, the placement scenario is extremely good. But it is fine.

It is a top ranking college where the companies like Accolite, DE Shaw, Harman International, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, Hitachi Consulting, Morgan Stanley, etc come for recruitment.

99% of the companies (core or IT) offer at least 3.25 lakhs to ECE undergrads. Core companies generally offer somewhere in the vicinity of 5.6 lakhs, some might even offer 10 lakhs+. Companies like Cadence, Cisco, McKinsey, Schlumberger, KLM Tencor, Future first, which offer salary of 10 lakhs+ (have a selection process with a difficulty level that matches their pay package). So, you need to be really smart and really lucky to get through. Then there are few less paying firms like HP, Deloitte, Sapient, GM, GE and list goes on.
All these pay above 5 lpa but less than 8lpa.
And then there's mass recruitment, Accenture/ Wipro/ Infy etc. These also pay above 3 lpa but less than 4 lpa.

The Placement Statistics of Techno India is quite good, if you are looking at the numbers, you might get a bad data. But if you go through the Department wise placements you can get the exact status.
although 80-90 % of eligible candidate from ECE, CSE, IT are placed,
While in other department like EE, EIE, FT the placement statistics is quite average (40-50%) significantly, low placement for Mechanical and then Civil.
To be frank, the placements stats of civil branch at techno India is very much pathetic, hardly any core civil company came there for placements,but if you are good at programming and have some knowledge of C / C+, then you may end up having a job in some service based IT companies.
So, if you are really passionate about civil engineering and looking forward for good placements then Techno India may not be good find for you.
