100% placement will be there. Many companies will come to our college starting from 3 Lacs per annum to 24 Lacs per annum. Not only in IT companies, our students will also get place in many core companies
The college have a good placement record. 100% of the students are placed. All the IT companies Wipro, Accenture, CTS, etc. Come every year of the campus. They provide a package around 2-3L per annum. Amazon, Flipkart, Dell offer around 6-8L per annum. The highest offer was 18L per annum buy DE shaw. NIE academic years, 60 IT Companies and 30 non-IT Companies visited campus and select the students. And around 2300 offers have been made through campus placement in last five years. If we talked about 2016- 17 then we can say 370 students placed and around 50 companies visited the campus and placed students. Here are 2 branches for Petroleum, one is UPSTREAM and second is DOWNSTREAM (Gas). Placements for both the branches are nearly equal and turned out to be excellent every time. The average package from GAS is approximately 3.56 lacs to 6.56 or 6.79 lacs per annum. The highest package from gas is around 18 lacs. The top recruiters are Schlumberger Asia Services Ltd. , Reliance Industries Limited, ONGC, Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, QuEST Global Engineering, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited etc.

"Treat Science like your best friend" and always focus on the chapter and try to overcome all the weak portion firstly which give you boost up to your confidence. Read your textbook carefully so that you don't miss any information. Text Book NCERT is the main arms for a fight with UPSEE question. As all question comes from your textbook, the syllabus is so large that it becomes difficult for one to cover all prescribed topics. Thus try to emphasize more on accuracy rather than quantity. As per I know, till date for the academic year 2016-17, a total of about 760 plus students have been placed in different companies. Many IT, core companies come for placement in our college having satisfactory annual packages. The college offer guaranteed placement assistance to all its students. Last year companies like IBM, Infosys, Electromech, Gabriel, Forbes Marshal, Godrej & Boyce. Average Package is 2.1 Lacs and the highest up to 9 Lacs, For chemical engineering. Majorly students have got IT based roles and very few have got core companies in pharmaceutical sector.

Job in the core industry which is metallurgy, in this case, you have to maintain your CGPA above 7-8 depending upon the company you are shortlisted for and to the extent for my memory serves, I didn't see any core company in metallurgy in my season. Do we really have this industry in India? If you are looking for a job in any high-paying company just like 90% other IITians, you have to sit for several written or online exams where your specialisation doesn't matter at all except in some cases but they don't really constitute significantly. The job opportunities are pretty good if you score and decent percentage in all your semesters without any backlogs. During my final year close to 50 companies came for campus placements Average package offered was 4 LPA. Companies like Bosch, L&T, TCS came for placements during my tenure. Almost 60% of the students are placed at that time. Visited Companies:

More than 750 students were placed on the same campus. The highest paid was a female candidate of instrumentation and control stream with a package of 32 Lacs, the highest in the history of the institute since 3 years. Campus placement is good in our college. Till date, about 760 plus students are placed in various companies. The average package that I have come to know is about 5-6 Lacs per annum. Mostly IT companies like TCS and Infosys. The packages we were offered in 2008 was in the range of 3.00 Lacs per annum to 3.75 Lacs per annum. The detailed figures are not available with me now as it has been a long time. The placements are normal basically BPOs indulging in the same authorities of the college to select student with all the stuffs company's come like cognizant Serco or HSBC Accenture giving packages till 5 Lacs as the maximum still basically in the BPO sector only.
