NIT -Surathkal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th rank while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. The faculty in both the colleges is comparable as they follow government rules for recruitment of professors.
