In 2016, the percentage of total students placed was 96.7 percent. For CSE department, it was 97.6 percent for 2015 and a whopping 100% in 2016. Talking about the companies that visit for recruiting include many tech giants like Intel, Amazon, Facebook, Dell, HP. But some students from circuital branches also opt for roles in IT and management as such. The NITs for a while now whereas NIT, Warangal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11 while NIT, Warangal stands at 34. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. NIT-Trichy is ranked 11 according to the MHRD rankings while NIT-Warangal is ranked at 34. But the question asked bothers me more. We can't compare two different branches in different colleges. Actually comparing different branches from the same college is also not a good idea. Branch is not a thing which can be termed as good or bad or better than other. Branch should be chosen only on basis of one's personal interest and passion for it. If you don't know which ones better suited for you, I would recommend to going to college's website and comparing the curriculum of both the branches. It will surely help you in making a decision. NIT -Surathkal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. Students of Chemical from MNIT are placed in software giants and Silicon Valley startups like Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Uber, Xiaomi, Airbnb, Adobe and many more Core chemical companies.
