Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary branch of science which is favorite among youngsters as it is providing ample opportunities for those who want to explore the new and advanced frontiers of science. Heritage Institute of Technology situated in Kolkata is a private institute taking the students for engineering stream.
Though the college is not so much remarkable and up to the mark when it comes to infrastructure but is improving itself and hence can be considered as okay.
Now, coming to the placement stats, the average placement from here is around 3 to 4 lakh and highest package offered is from Microsoft which is around 16 lakhs.
Although, the above placement data is from CSE, ECE, IT, etc.
Also, frankly speaking, the college do not have a good placement record other than these three branch though, many IT based companies visit for mass recruitment such as TCS, Infosys as well as Wipro.
Also, the faculty members are good, but not up to the level to meet the requirements of industry as well as modern world.
So, in all, the college is good for the core branches only, and should not, be preferred for distance education. Although, students from West Bengal can have it as their last option but for the three mentioned branches.

'Internship' from the perspective of engineering colleges in India primarily is aimed at giving an industry exposure, and involves people taking up trainee positions in companies which deal with the sub-branch of their choice. However, people interested in research usually engage in research projects at IIT's/IISc or universities in the US/Canada/Europe/Australia. Acharya Institute of Technology (AIT) is a better choice than MVJ College of Engineering in case of both educational quality and placements.
But instead of opting for Aeronautical Engineering, I would suggest you go for CSE from AIT Bangalore.
AIT is ranked 63rd in Indian Engineering college Ranking of "Outlook India". On the other hand, MVJCE stands nowhere in top 100.
AIT Bangalore has huge campus of 120 acres whereas MVJCE has a campus of just 15 acres.
AIT maintains a teacher-student ratio of 1:10. The Institute receives a "Modernisation and Removal of Obsolescence" grant from the AICTE for research activities and upgraded state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. It is one of the seven colleges in Karnataka to be funded by the World Bank and receives endowments from the VTU to carry out research in both its undergraduate and postgraduate departments.
Coming on to why to choose CSE over Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation sector is still on a slow growth in India whereas IT sector is on its top gear of growth. There is a huge demand of CSE Engineers than Aero Engineers in India. Moreover Mostly IT companies comes for placements in the college.

It does not matters lot as many college built their campus in remote area because they can't get such a big size of land is not available in city. This does not matters a lot as BITS Pilani is one of the best college of India and this college is located in Pilani which is an small village of Rajasthan but for joining BITS student never think about remote or urban city. In fact, establishing a college in remote size has lot of benefit such as there is less disturbances, less crowd, nice environment which is not available in urban city.

IIT Kharagpur is one of best college in stream of study and facility. The motto literally translates to "Excellence in action is Yoga" essentially implying that doing your work well is (true) yoga. It is sourced to Sri Krishna's discourse to Arjuna in Bhagavad Gita.
There were 224 freshers and 42 teachers in August 1951 when the first session started. The class rooms, laboratories and the Administrative office were housed in the historic building of the Hijli Detention Camp. The Institute started its academic programme with only ten Departments. IIT Kanpur is a prestigious institute that comes under the top three IITs (as per recent years record). The most preferred branches from IIT Kanpur are CSE, aerospace and chemical. Though, the best college for chemical one may find in IIT Madras, but IIT Kanpur is also no less than that.
