If you are taking up the branch of manufacturing science and engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur just because you are not eligible for getting any other branches in the same college then one thing is sure that you will end up with a minimum placement of around 7 to 9 lacs, in some of the corporate companies, IT firms that show up for the placement drive in the college.
Although if manufacturing science engineering really excites you and you are passionate about the branch then you might consider pursuing the same at the college.
But if you are expecting a number of high-quality core placements then you will be in

I think, a little bit if one has decided to take admission in a particular private college and has deposited the fee to the college then the declaration of the result if he/she fails then the college wait for their compartment exam but a government college doesn't care about this. If you fail to report in the counseling with their eligibility, then they never wait for you.
But if someone has not decided a college before the declaration and fails in the exam then government colleges will never give you chance and a number of good private colleges also will not give you a chance or wait for your compartment exam. So, in this case, one has

Yes, it is definitely possible for one to migrate from one branch to another.
The procedure for that is as follows:
One cannot change his/her branch before going through 2 semesters. Then in both semesters, one needs to perform well or should try to get maximum CGPA as one can at the end of the academic year.
Now, there are the students from various branches who particularly apply for one branch and out of all that lot, students are filtered on the basis of their number and availability of vacant seats. The ones who are getting the highest marks will get selected and the rest of the students should have to satisfy with their current branc

Any institution whether it is a government or a private institute cannot become prestigious and top institution within a year of its establishment. Also, new IITs have their own identity and cannot be measured with the old IITs. they are not taking as much time as the time that had been taken by the old IITs to evolve into a heritage place for engineering students. The craze for the old IITs is the same as it was before but it's increasing for the new IITs because the curriculum, syllabus and management is just as same as that in the previous IIT but accompanied with a newly developed modern infrastructure. Also, with the increasing nu

There are many private universities and institutions which provide scholarship for newbies as well as for lateral entries but just for an entry in the second year or for you 3rd semester. Also, you will not get any scholarships from any government or autonomous engineering institute of India. For private universities, I would prefer Lovely Professional University, Galgotias University, Chandigarh University, Sharda University, Maharishi Markandeshwar University or else find any private institute. You may refer to the best possible institution nearby you. For admission and scholarship, you must have a good CGPA and a good character back
