Unlike previous years where the admission to HBTI was based on UPSEE, from this year onwards the admission will be only through JEE Mains.
This is because of the fact that HBTI is no longer the same nor does it has the same name.
It has now got the status of autonomous by NAAC, and the name has now changed to Harcourt Butler Technical University, being accredited a university status now.
Earlier the college was among the other AKTU colleges, being under UPTU jurisdiction, the admission for which one had to be among the top 500 students performers in UPSEE exam.

Few NITs students particularly from top NIT such as Suratakal get placement abroad but it's percentage is not as high as of legacy IITs and BITS Pilani.

Computer Science is not difficult if you have analytical thinking skills. However, to get good grades in relative grading system in CS is most challenging because CS class is composed of best students of any batch as only toppers of Engineering Entrance Examinations are able to get admission in CS branch.

Karnataka is blessed with some really good private engineering colleges, being as the IT hub of India it is able to lure many top MNs which consequently results in better placements.

An NIT degree matters a lot which can become the fruitful outcome for the upcoming years of life. Though DSCE is a well-renowned college and known for its excellence after its huge struggle for existence for a deemed college, but the amount of funds and officials working in NIT are exceptional and thus the same get reflected into the undergrads and newbies working and studying there.
The placements, in DSCE on an average, is around 5 Lacs per annum though few getting good quality placements of around 12 Lacs in reputed companies such as Oracle, Sap, Capgemini, etc.

MIT-Manipal is well known for its vibrant academic and co-curricular scenario.
Though it charges a huge amount of fee, for undergraduates and hence provides world-class facilities.
When it comes to placements from computer science and communication engineering, they are exceptionally well and quality wise better future-oriented.

Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad is ranked 10th in 2017 as it is one of the national level colleges it's growth is miraculous and one of the fastest growing IITs. For computer science branch, placements are quite good and companies compete to choose the candidates with good packages. After JEE you will get atleast 20 days for UPSEE exams so if one can utilize these days properly then surely you can score good marks in the exam.
150 question are there in the exam of total 600 marks without negative marking. So to score good one has to work on the speed and accuracy. In the last month before the exam best thing is to go through the previous year question paper and just concentrate on all the important topics for the exam and your strong chapter. Well if you want to do B.Tech in aeronautical choose some of the premier engineering colleges.
As far as DIAS is concerned it is not a very reputed college in terms of all infrastructure, placement, research etc. When you talk about aeronautical you have to be more cautious as it is one of the main branches of engineering and have to be carefully select the institute. Following companies are the recruiters for engineering:- Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Genpact
