Yes, of course like in other MNC's or company, media industries too have several departments with a proper segment. If you have a business, commerce related background you can be a part of their B2B teams, if you have IT related background you can be a part of their technical or IT sectors. So, there are opportunities. But please focus if you are willing to be news anchor, reader, journalist, editor etc. Than these are course specific. It's better if you will pursue a course related to journalism or mass communication. Thank you.

If you are applying for Masters programme, then an entrance exam is carried out, and if you are applying for Bachelors programme, then it depends upon your marks in class 12th. If you are looking for journalism and Mass Communication, then better to opt for degree programme course that includes combo of both these fields. Apart from this, you have option to go with either journalism degree or with mass communication one. And, you may also apply for some certificate or Diploma courses like that of photography, editing, writing etc. But, best is to go with journalism + Mass communication. You will succeed with your efforts and talent not with a difference between education pattern or the country. It doesn't matter. We have top notch colleges and university that are graded best for teaching journalism and mass communication. And the one you talking about IIMC is the best brand. You will definitely get a nice opportunity after completing your course from there. It would help to fetch you a job you want. And believe me India has large number of MNCs and media sector where students get a good opportunity. But one thing to be kept in mind is - patience, hard work and faith would take you altogether towards your dream.
