Hello,
It is a great career, if you have talent and the passion to pursue it. Your skill set can be developed with the right training. It is much easier to launch a career in fashion design by attending school and earning a Bachelors in Fashion Design or Architecture, believe it or not. Fashion Merchandising is more the business side where you would focus on buying, planning and forecasting trends, therefore, you will not get the training necessary to function as a designer. Nonetheless, it is possible with a degree in Merchandising, but it will be far more challenging.

If you are not taking any tuitions, then you can just practice on your own, give exams using the online sample question papers, work on your drawing skills and just keep yourself updated with current affairs. Basic English grammar, Logical reasoning and Maths of class 10th should also be worked upon. And right now your priority should be 12.
Good luck.
