The final year 3 years graduation degree examination in any discipline (Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering or any approved University) is eligible to apply for admission in MCA postgraduate degree courses run by various universities and computer institutes. On January 19 2016, UGC said that its consultations regarding allowing students to pursue two degrees simultaneously, have not received a positive response so far. Therefore, legally, you cannot pursue B.Sc. IT and B.Com simultaneously from same university or different universities. B.Com and B.Sc. IT degree are not from same or similar field and both courses are designed for meeting different needs of enterprises. In case with commerce degree you want to join IT industry it will be better to do MBA IT or MCA after B.Com.
