You need to have a Master in law or rather a doctorate in any field of law.
Well there are lots of job opportunities. You also have an option for government job, as you are eligible to take up any exam, such as judiciary and civil services and, also you get preferences in other placements by law firms and corporate houses, as well as by the PSUs owing to your qualifications.
Also, UGC NET is considered equivalent to your M.Phil in law sometimes. You get to be directly appointed as a professor of law at any law sc

Well, you may have a distance learning course along with a regular graduation, as the distance course in law anyways is not recognized as such and it serves only on paper and, thus makes no difference as such.
Also, the requirements for a distance course in law need to be seen before enrolling, as sometimes you are not allowed to take a regular course simultaneously.
Generally, you may pursue one, but keep in mind that it is not going to fetch you anything. While in India, as the Bar Council of India doesn't recognize it and so does the UGC, therefore it is of no use, when it does not have any practical implications for you.
So, I would a

The additional benefits that one can expect out of pursuing a Diploma or PG Diploma in consumer law would range from placements to independent practice to academics.
A well-qualified aspirant is much appreciated and recruiters look for candidates having additional qualifications.
This would help you get a better placement at first instance. Apart from that, it would help you in setting up your independent practices. Moreover, after completion of a PG or Diploma, you may opt for teaching profession, wherein you could easily be appointed as a consumer law professor provided you clear UGC NET.
Also, having a specialized knowledge makes you a

Well, again distance learning program would get you a qualification for namesake, as that degree or Diploma doesn't have any practical implications. The Bar Council of India does not recognize it and so do the UGC doesn't not consider it at par with regular or even private courses.
The distance learning is available through many institutions in India, but that won't serve you results in real.
Also, you would not be treated as a law graduate for purpose of any civil services exams or government exams, unless you have another degree which is regular and recognized by UGC.
So, you do not have options in real after pursuing a distance learnin

Hello,
After completing Ph.D in the field of Law, you are directly entitled to approach in any private or government Law College for the post of Assistant Professor. For such, you need not to clear National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) approved by the University Grant Commission (UGC). This is a settled principle that the candidates having Ph.D in law are exempted from the purview of NET.
The Central as well as the State Government hires candidates who are having Ph.D in law for the purpose of research in various legal fields. Even the Parliament of India requires candidates who are

Hello,
After completing your Masters in Law that is, LLM, you have no additional job benefits compared to a LLB degree holder except academics. Both, LLB and LLM students can apply for any Government job (PSU) like BANK, RAIL etc. But, now a days, most of the Public Sector Units as well as Private companies, prefer LLM candidates. So, if you are a LLM degree holder, then you will be preferred over LLB degree holders. Many companies hire legal officers having LLM degree.
The sole benefit of LLM is academics. LLM will open the gateway for academics. If you have cleared LLM, then you can easily apply in any private law colleges for the pos

Well, there is no age limit as such fixed as of now, as the earlier upper age bar was lifted by the Supreme Court on a PIL filed by 2 aspirants.
However, there is an upper age bar on judicial services exam, which differs from state to state for instance, in UP the upper age limit is 35 years while in Haryana it is 40 years.
And, for Delhi also it may be fixed to 32 years most probably.
So, you do not have any age limit to do LLb, but if you aim at judiciary, then you have to make sure to complete the degree within the age limits of judicial services exams of a respective state you look for.
However, you may choose to appear for Higher Judi

Well this a mistaken idea that majority of law colleges are located in U.P. U.P, being a huge state, it has an advantage of having a number of institutes owing to available land. As there are many states which has a number of law schools for example Gujarat apart from GNLU, has Siddhartha Law college, Auro University Of Law, Institute of Law, Nirma University, United Global World School Of Law, RN Patel school of Law and many more. Thus, it is not the case that UP has majority of law schools as every state has a number of Law schools and universities.
U.P has RMLNLU, Amity University, BHU amongst top and not much Law schools are there c
