The first question: Should I opt for higher studies or pursue a job after completing a course in non-linear editing? If the non-linear editing, which is much in use now, is coming your way in the form of a stable job where your skills will further improve, take that as a course of higher studies as well. Getting paid for learning will be a better thing than joining another institute just because the previous place did not teach you enough

I would advise you to watch any news channel for just 1 hour as that's how you will realise what qualities do news presenters have. To be more specific to your query, you need to be well groomed for being news presenter.
Following are some qualities/skills:
Physical appearance: It's very important for you to look fresh, fit, well-groomed and smart. This makes the viewer more interesting towards you.

BJMC- the Bachelor degree offered by their management institute carries the same limitation that I mentioned in some other answers saying that merely a BJMC at a college will not enable quick placements. Besides, media jobs are lucrative and BJMC degree is an entry level degree that should be accompanied by enough skills and trainings.
The placements of Lingaya freshers have been stead

Hence doing regular course from IMS is good. Doing MJMC course from IMS Noida (affiliated to Chaudhry Charan Singh University Meerut) helps you to get wider chance to vet placed at the very good profile in a very good company. You
