Yes, the Personal Interview (PI) round is necessary for admission into the BCom programme at SNU Chennai as it is where the faculty can gauge the interests and aspirations of the candidate regarding the programme. The PI round also acts as a way for the faculty to introduce the programme and their pedagogy to the candidate. This interaction is necessary before the start of the programme as there are very few seats in the programme, and the faculty gives individual attention to each student in the programme. Thus, the faculty must select candidates who are genuinely interested and capable of doing the course.

SNU Chennai PhD admissions are based on multiple selection parameters. In the beginning of the admission process, candidates are evaluated based on their past academic merit. Candidates must have a PG degree at the time of applying for the course. Further, the university conducts an in-house entrance exam/ written test for the selection of candidates. Futher, the final selection is based on the research proposal submisson and a PI round conducted by the university.
