SNU Chennai offers three specializations under the four-year BTech course. These are Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI&DS), Computer Science & Engineering- Internet of Things (IoT), and Cyber Security (CSE). Admission to all these courses are done through a common admission process. Candidates are selected based on a valid SNUCEE score, followed by a PI round.

The total fee of the three-year BCom course offered at SNU Chennai is INR 6.75 lakh, which includes the tuition fee for all academic years. Other charges such as refundable caution deposit (one-time) & admission fee (one-time) are also payable at the time of admission. Hostel, mess, and transport charges will be applicable only if the students avail of these facilities.

To get admission to a full-time BTech course at SNU Chennai, candidates must pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Applicant must have the Class 12 marksheet and pass certificate at the time of applying for the course. It is an important component of the selection process. The mode of application at SNU Chennai is online. Aspirants can register and fill out the application by visiting the university website (snuchennai.edu.in). Further, candidates applying to various courses need to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 1,500 for the application form. Only the students who submit application on time will be eligible to take the entrance exam.

Shiv Nadar University conducts SNUSAT which is a university-level entrance examination. This exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses offered on its campus.
