At Shivaji College, if you fail the internal exam, nothing to worry about, teachers give you another chance to give internal exams, and even they provide questions that would be coming in internals which helps a lot in getting good marks for students.

Yes, there are many seats reserved in different courses which helps the students getting their admission in the college. There are swar reservations at shivaji College for certain categories of students. Thw following categories are eligible for seat reservation:- For SC/ST - 15 percent of the seats are reserved for students belonging to the scheduled caste and scheduled trible categories. For OBC:- 27 percent of the seats are reserved for students belonging to the other backward CV lasses, For EWC :- 10 percent seats are reserved.

Students of the department of economics at shivaji College are felicitated with the annual merit cum means scholarships under P. C. Ganguly memorial scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to th students of B.Com (hons. ) II and III year each who secure the highest percentage of marks (above 70% in aggregate) in the college in the first attempt. A monthly scholarship or Rs. 1000 is awarded to the best student of B.A. ( prog. ) Ist year on the basis of his/her examination results.

Shivaji College does not have a hostel facility, so there is no mess food available on campus. The college has a canteen where you can fill your stomach easily and there is small cafe too where you can buy your favourite drink.

It's gonna be different than secondary and higher secondary school examination. So, better to be prepared for new things, new exam Patterns, stay aware! There is no hostel facility provided by the college but there are large no. Of PGs available near the college campus which are quite affordable and good food. The average rate per person for a PG is 4000-5000 per month. And the pgs provided at this rate is very well maintained and are provided with all the basic facilities like electricity, water supply, Wi-Fi, and sometimes AC as well. Tiffin service is also available in the area.
