Shivaji University, located in Kolhapur, was established in 1962. The university is accredited with Grade A by the NAAC. The university affiliates 276 colleges that are spread over three districts of Maharashtra, namely, Kolhapur, Sangli, and Satara. Shivaji Uiversity has better infrstruture than most of DU's collegesEvery year 70 to 80% of students got placements in Shivaji University with the lowest package of INR 2 LPA and the highest package of 7LPA. Total seats for M.A in shivaji College (University of Delhi) is 75 Out of which 25 for M.A in Hindi50 for M.A in political scienceShivaji College admission procedure to the PG course is based on both merit and entrance - DUET. Merit-based admissions are offered only to DU graduates. In Shivaji College PG admissions 50% of seats are filled by the entrance exam and the other 50% of seats are based on the merit of the qualifying exam.

Earlier for PG admissions, Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) used to be accepted, but from 2023 onwards, PG admissions will only be based on the CUET PG exam.Once the CUET results are declared, eligible candidates need to register themselves on Delhi University’s admission portal - admission.uod.ac.in for all UG and PG course admissions.  The final Selection for PG courses will be based on the merit list released for both merit and entrance-based admissions.
