Such facilities are offered to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University mainly through direct admission for some courses. Commonly, bare minimum academic requirements are expected from the candidates, including minimum percentage in the qualifying exam, while in some cases, entrance examinations may not be necessarily required for undergraduates.For MBA or M.Tech, for example, this may be possible provided one has a valid score on such examinations as CAT, MAT or GATE, and university entrance tests where necessary. CSMU is one of the most recognised institution providing many courses in undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. It is reputed for its academic outlook and has experienced faculties, and several infrastructural facilities. The research and development team in the university is well supported with moderate recognition than those major universities in the country.Due to the campus placement in the field of B.Tech. and MBA, the number of companies visiting the college is increasing day by day and few of the selected students got placement between Rs. 3 to 6 Lakhs Per Annum as per course. However, the position of a university can be very different for each department, and the rates of employment are quite average compared with other famous national universities. 

National Institute of Management and Science Shirpur popularly known as NMIMS Shirpur and Shivaji University are good institutes for doing B.Tech programs. However, NMIMS Shirpur has a tad better ranking as compared to Shivaji University. The highest percentage of students from NMIMS Shirpur get placement as compared to students from Shivaji University as NMIMS Shirpur has a tad higher placement percentage of around 80-90 percent as compared to Shivaji University's placement percentage of around 60-70 percent. The highest and average package offered to the students of NMIMS Shirpur are approximately INR 6-8 Lacs per annum and the students from Shivaji University receive approximately INR 4-6 Lacs per annum. Besides, NMIMS Shirpur has more corporate relations than Shivaji University where the former has tie up with more than 500 companies whereas; the latter has tie up with only about 200 companies.
