You can do Diploma in Fashion Designing or even as in you have done B.Sc, so you can even pursue M.Sc. In fashion designing which is a two-year course.

You can pursue designing courses like diploma in fashion/Interior/jewellery designing courses along with your graduation.

With B.Com honors, you can simultaneously do degree courses in fashion/interior/jewellery designing.

See UDIT Doing mechanical engineering is not like doing MBA ao u need not to do any short term course. It will be a total time waste. Instead of that prepare yourself for your engineering degree 1st year courseware. Read and Learn subjects like Mathematics, Chemistry, Mechanics, Physics this will help you there not those short term courses.

You can do CFA or many other banking courses which are short-term and can provide you best placements as per your interest.

Short course is a brief course, to work as design professional at least 6 months course is necessary.

First of all, education is not a waste of time, indeed an investment for future and career. Secondly, no short term certificate course can be equivalent to a Master's degree.
