No, the counselling and seat allotment is done purely on the basis of JEE Mains and through the JoSAA portal. Madhya Pradesh does have it's exam called MPPET which after a time was stopped and admissions were continued on AIEEE and then JEE Mains.

Yes, the JoSAA mains counselling has started today and will end up (the first round) on 25th June through which you'll get colleges through JEE Mains including SGSITS. Kindly fill your choice through the official JoSAA website. The link is given below:

If you reside in Madhya Pradesh and getting GSITS, then you don't need to go to the northern extent of the country. NIT - Srinagar has a good rank but is almost similar to GSITS Indore only. Also, GSITS has a very nice curriculum, placements and academics. Also, it would be safer for you.

There are always chances as some students go for upgradation and their seats are left for others and in order to fulfill those seats the cutoff is reduced after some levels of counselling but waiting for them is not always a good choice.

Yes, you can get admission in SGSITS and you'll get admitted directly in the second year of your relevant engineering branch.

SGSITS INDORE is better. Because it one the top college of M.P. and well reputed. Also from the year 2017 B.E. is upgraded to B.Tech here. Well educated and experienced faculties are there and also lots of clubs for your interest and activities.
