Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers BTech across five specialisations. During SMVDU cutoff 2023, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 94017, for B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering was 227213, for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering was 402493, for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering was 657668 and for B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering was 505053 for the General category All India seat. Hence, candidate with a rank of 1,35,000 in JEE Main can get a seat at SMVDU in all the specialisations except for BTech CSE as per the last year cutoff.

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University are both good institutions for IT education.Sant Longowal Institute is a Government institute which thrives in placement and education as compared to SMVDU.Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is a public institution which excels in providing a variety of courses in unique field as compared to SLIET. Being a Public university, its fee structure is comparatively lower.

Renowned universities offering B.Tech programs include the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. Faculty members with extensive training and expertise mentor students. However, the reason why Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is superior to Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is that its placement rate is higher than that of SLIET, with a growth rate of roughly 30% compared to 10% at SLIET. Moreover, SLIET offers packages between INR 4 and 19 lakhs, while Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers packages between INR 4.5 and 25 lakhs.

Both the institutes Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University are well to pursue higher studies. However, when we talk about the placements offered and compare them, then for B.Tech-M tech courses the package range is INR 4-19 Lakhs approximately in Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology and around INR 4.5-25 Lakhs in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University which is better than the former. Also the placement rate in SMVDU is greater than in SLIET. Also the growth rate in the number of placements is also better in SMVDU which is 28 % than 13% of SLIET. So we can say that placem

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is a state university  located in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is approved by UGC and was established in 1999. It is ranked 151 for overall by NIRF IN 2023. University releases cut off scores every year on official website of university. Students can check their cutoff scores according to the courses they want to pursue. For insight let me give you cutoff of some courses in 2023: B.Arch- 1041 rankB.Tech - 55304 rank to 69379 rankM.Tech- 357 rank to 367 rank and so on.

Yes, you can easily get admission into Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University with 60% marks in class 12th. Many other courses offered by university requires 50% marks in class 12th. Like, for admission in B.Tech individual requires 60% marks in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsary subjects whereas for admission in B.Arch individual requires only 50% marks in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsary subjects.

Approximately 95% of students who take our courses are placed in prestigious businesses, earning INR 25 Lacs per year. The highest offer was an annual package of maximum INR 25 lakhs, while the lowest package has an annual maximum of INR 4 lakhs. Students receive internships at prestigious companies in 95% of cases. In 2023, BTech students received an average salary of INR 4.6 LPA, MBA students received an average salary of INR 4.2 LPA, and the maximum salary offered was Rs 6 LPA. Candidates must have taken their Class 12 Exam or any comparable qualifying examination in 2023 or have passed their Class 10+2 Exam or equivalent in 2020 or 2021 with at least 50% of their total marks from a recognised board to be eligible.Also, admission to MBA Course is done on the basis f CAT or MAT percentile. It should be between 80 to 90 percentile for admission in Shri Vaishno Devi University for MBA course.
