It's not an objective question I prefer you to go through both websites and then make the choice. Moreover, I can suggest you according to data by NIRF, SMVDU has been ranked 16th in Architecture category and 101 in Engineering category where as SLIET rank 151 in its Engineering category.

Sri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) located at Katra, in Kashmir, India. It's NIRF ( National Institute of Ranking Framework) is 151 .The highest placement recorded was around 50 Lacs and the average package recorded was about 4 to 5 Lacs per annum and the lowest package recorded was 2 lakhs

M.Tech at Tezpur university is better than M.Tech at SMVDU because the placements at Tezpur university provides much better options and salaries as compared to SMVDU. In comparison of both the universities it can be seen that the highest package of M.Tech at SMVDU in year 2022 was 3.6 LPA while at tezpurTuniversity was 4.01 LPA.

The total number of seats in B.Tech programme of SMVDU is 350.These 350 are classified as :110 for computer Science engeenering, 90 for electronics and communication engeenering, 60 for mechanical engineering, 60 for civil engineering, And 30 for electrical engineering.

As per the latest information, the overall cut-off varies from 357-367 for the M.Tech courses at SMVDU.To be spoken separately the expected cut-off for "computer and Science engeenering" is 357, 361 for "system engeenering" and 367 for "electronic and communication engeenering".
