Sikkim Professional University (SPU) has good placement records course-wise. About 80-90% of B.Tech students get placed every year with average salaries given between 4 – 6 lakhs per annum and highest pay packages ranging between INR 12-15 lakhs per annum. Over 70-80% students get placement offers after MBA and they are placed with an average package of INR 5-7 lakhs and the highest package of INR 15-20 lakhs. BCA and BBA graduates get around 60-70% placements offers with average salary ranging between INR 3-5 lakhs and highest of INR 8-10 lakhs.

The fee structure of Sikkim Professional University (SPU) for various programmes are different, the annual expenses varies from Rs 60000/- to Rs 150000/-. Specifically, fees are: BBA : 65,000 – 85,000 INR, BCA: 60,000 – 80,000 INR, B.Tech : 90,000 – 1,20,000 INR, MBA : 1,20,000 – 1,50,000 INR, M.Tech : 1,20,000 – 1,50,000 INR. The overhead charges involve hostel fee of INR 60, 000 to INR 80, 000, mess charges of INR 30, 000 to INR 40, 000, security deposit of INR 10, 000, which is refundable. For deserving students SPU provides the facility of scholarship up to 100% on tuition fee .

Rankings:According to top colleges ranking in Sikkim (2023), the college is 2nd.But according to NIRF rankings for 2023, it falls under 251-300 category of India.Key statistics:- Student strength: 3,500+- Faculty strength: 200+- Courses offered: 50+ (UG, PG, PhD)- Placement percentage: 70-80%- Top recruiters: IBM, Infosys, Wipro, TCSAs much as one may have a few things to speak about SPU, strong ranking and ratings are good indicators that SPU is one of the best in Gangtok.

The BBA admission cutoffs Sikkim Professional University offer or consider depend on elements such as performance and entrance tests. For the 2023-2024 session, the cutoff percentages were: for General category is forty five percent, for OBC is forty percent and for SC/ST is thirty five percent. Exam scores taken into account includes CUET – Common University Entrance Test with minimum 50 percentile. Further, candidates may have to meet the minimum 45 percent marks on the aggregate of the 10+2 examination passed by the board.

Sikkim Professional University falls under Tier III colleges as per NIRF ranking 201-250. When it comes to education quality it does not fall under the Tier 1 which has NIRF ranking 1-10 and Tier 2 having NIRF ranking of 11-50 but still is good. Key statistics include: NIRF ranking of 201-250 , Approval of UGC, AICTE, Placement percentage of 70-80% , Average package of INR 3-5 lakhs per annum,Top recruiters include IBM, Infosys, Wipro, TCS.Overall if I talk about Sikkim professional University it's a very good option to consider.

The cutoff list of Sikkim Professional University, in general, is prepared a few days after the declaration of CUET result. In case of the admissions for the session 2024, the cutoff list will be declared within a week or so after the CUET result declaration. The dates to declare the cutoff list are not defined and issued as and when thought fit by the academic/admission committee. Such a list will include how to attain minimum qualifying scores for entry into the various courses offered in the university.

The Sikkim Professional University has not released the CUT off for 2024 CUET. Each year, the cutting-off marks are changed based on the number of applicants, exam toughness, and vacancies in different programs. Soon after the CUET result is declared, Sikkim Professional University will release its cut-off list that provides the minimum qualifying marks for taking admission into various courses.
