No straight admission to the MD programme at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences in Gangtok is not possible. Admission to MD courses is solely dependent on NEET PG (National Eligibility and Entrance Test Postgraduate) scores which are required for all postgraduate medical programs in India. The selection process includes participation in centralized counseling organized by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). To be assigned a seat, candidates must meet the eligibility requirements, pass the NEET-PG cutoff and go through the counseling process.
